sac st won easy, wishing i just played straight up rather than parlayed with colts ml, but I’m being safe

so i am hedging my ticket with 200.00 on Saints ML at +170

I win money regardless of result now

Saints win
risked 700.00 to win 40.00 (540.00 – 500.00)

Colts win
risked 700.00 to win 709.00 (909 – 200)

I hate betting and gambling

i love hedging

in vegas, i started out well until a bad bet day yesterday

anyways here are the plays I made today, 1 already finished, 1 in progress and of course the big game later on

Raptors -8.5
Won 200.00!!!!

Sac St -2 / Colts ML parlay
500.00 to win 909.00

Saints Colts under 57
555.00 to win 500.00

So this chase system was great and proved to be very profitable untill chases started getting into the 3rd and 4th game were it got very expensive to continue to chase, so as a result i called off 2 chases (Van to win 4 of 14 & Wsh over) which has my record at 17-2,  Now the Wsh over bet did actually hit as they beat Nyr 6-5 but it would have cost me 40% of my bankroll to chase that and im more of a beleiver in going for a team winning not scoring goals.  In the end yes i would have hit that chase but i actually played it smart not risking my healthy bankroll that i have built up over 400% from my initial start up.  Now this dosn’t mean i will not keep chasing i just need to pick smarter chases that’s all.  So looking ahead to today’s plays.

Buf Car under:  With Buf still being one of the leagues best under teams and playing at home after that bad loss to Ott look for miller to regain some confidence with a bounce back win and playing solid hockey (good teams/goalies know how to bounce back after a disapointing game).   Car looks to be on one of there hot and cold modes and this is there cold mode losing 2 in a row on the start of this road trip coming from Edm to Cgy and now all the way to Buf.  Car also has one of the worst road records @ 6-18-4, I like this game as the line is set at 5.5 which usually for Buf it is set at 5 and getting good odds also at -130.  Buf Car under 5.5 @ -130.

Nj over tor.  Playing in a home and home, the big news here is the signing of Ilya Kovalchuck who the devils desperatly needed as they are lacking in the scoring department this season as there are in the bottom half of the league in goals for, now with Kovi and Marty B in net look out the devils will be good cup contender’s.  Still not convinced that Tor big trades have made them a way better team as they gave up a lot of goal scorers for phaneuf.  Brodeur is 6-2 last 8 against the leafs.  I am solely basing this pick on the impact that Kovalchuck will have on the devils and the fact that Marty B is having a stellar season.  Nj over Tor -210.

Chi over Phx.  Chi has lost 2 in a row and they havn’t lost 3 games in a row all season long.  Also a big factor to take into consideration is Chi is 21-6-1 @Home while Phx is 13-10-3 on the road.  Reason why Phx is having a better year is there play at home but there road play is were it will get them into trouble, also with Phx losing one of it’s top scorers in Scottie Upshall (49GP, 18G, 32A) he leads Phx in goals.  Also it is confirmed that Bryzgalov will not be in net tonight as he get’s the night of for Lababera to take the pipes, Bryzgalov also has been a big part of Phx season.  Huet seems to be struggling last 2 games but watching Chi play a lot this year i’ve noticed his ability to quickly bounce back after bad games.  Your getting decent odds on this one considering Chi is at home but i like this game lots of stuff pointing to Chi’s favour.  Chi over Phx -220.

Good luck

Jeff

headed to vegas for ufc and super bowl sunday and i am going to see how lfar 300 dollars will get me (hotel and airfare not included)

this includes all bets, food, hookers, etc. Basically what I eat for the day will be determined on how well my bets do

i will still make big bets on my online account, but as far for the action in vegas, I’m going to be as frugal as possible

anyways off to bed, wheels up tomorrow

So lost one of my chases last night as Buf and Pit didn’t even come close to the 5.5 under but hey that’s the beauty of the chase i’ll get it next game.  Made a great read on Ana over Fla as Fla has been scoring 1-2 goals a game lately and with Teemu coming back and a little shake up in the dressing room i liked my chances @ $1.91 dropped a decent amount and pulled out a big win.  Funny since i started posting here 3-4 weeks ago my bankroll has gone up 70%, i’m pretty happy about that.

Plays for tonight: Got Wsh still on this over chase as it’s game 3 so had to lay some good money down on the over set at 6 with Wsh and Bos tonight, now i’m getting good odds +110 as this could be a blow out and beleive it or not Bos can score a few goals too.  Game 2 of my Van 14 game road trip chase won the 1st game so 3 games to go and with them being in Mtl as the habs just lost cammy and luongo being pulled last game, look for him to make a stunning return Van -150 over Mtl.

This is a new chase i started as i have Nj to win 1 in 3 as they play @Tor, Tor, @Nyr, both these teams are not as good as Nj and this is a simple chase really, marty b is not in net tonight but danis is in and with only 3 Games started he is suprisingly 3-0 with a 1.69 GAA and a .938 SV% not bad i guess.  With Toronto’s new guys in the mix look for some miscommunication on there part.

Last but not least i decided to do a little parlay, now the whole reason i got into online gambling is to get away of parlaying games but this one i can’t help it, Wsh -130 over bos & La -155 over Nyr.  Lets face it Wsh VS Bos is like a miss match right now as Bos has lost 10 of 11 and Wsh has won 10 straight i mean come on.  Also La is 8-2 in there last ten well Nyr 3-7 another miss match.  If you parlay these two teams your profiting roughly almost double your wager, got to like that i know i do.  Well good luck!

Jeff

What did I tell you when I first started posting? I harped on betting on anything related to Winnipeg or the Winnipeg Jets….so you can be sure I was excited to hear Teemu was returning to the ducks last night, after Anaheim solidified their goaltending situation with the release of Giggy and the extension to Hiller. Needless to say, Jonas was a man on a mission taking the shutout…with Teemu potting home one goal on the night. 3-0 Anaheim final with the moneyline set at 1.91….after placing my largest wager ever (not going to admit the amount as it’s peanuts compared to some posters on here)

Anyways onto Tuesdays action…

Vancouver -146 over Montreal

I don’t think the habs have anyone who can score, and I think Cammi being out for 6 weeks is really going to hurt the habs (obviously). So I think Vancouver will lose at some point on this road trip, but with Luongo looking to rebound from a shitty game in t.o. combined with the injury…taking the canucks with good value on the road all things considered.

Washington -135 over Boston

Washington has won how many in a row? I know that Boston will be due at some point here to turn a page as they now have almost their full lineup back in action. Boston is 0-5 in their last 5…just think Washington is the better team and will win here…light play on the favorite, could see this game going to overtime possibly. I may also play the over on this game…that’s a gametime decision

Atlanta and Tampa Over 6

Southeast game…totals of 9,7,7,3 in their meetings this year. Teams are both slumping in a sense..and they always play each other well. Not much other explanation here besides the fact im pretty much betting over on every southeast game this year.

Nobody will be there to see the over...

Winnipeg Mark

Started 2 new chases as i am chasing Buf to go on the under in 2 of 6 games @Pit, Ott, Car, @Cbj, Bos, @Car, Sj.  Next one is Nj to win 1 in 3 @Tor, Tor, @Nyr.  So my play for tonight is Buf Pit under 5.5, which i like right now as pit’s is playing close low scoring games and with miller in net you have to feel confident, getting great odds on this one at -105.

Won’t lie, I have been playing the local sports lottery here in BC during my visit.

I know that countless times I have warned mark and laughed at others for playing sports lotteries and parlays but I can’t help myself

I actually enjoy hearing the “I’m into money song” played by the lotto machine every time I cash in a ticket

But aside from that there is value in playing the lottery as they do not adjust the odds and in the past week I have been able to capitalize on that. Also I like the fact that since I landed in Van that I have only had to make one ATM withdrawal because of my bet winnings. Here’s a look at my bets since I’ve been in BC

Jan 26 & Jan 27

OTT/NJ under 5.5
BUFF/NJ under 5.5
100.00 to win 100.00
won 100.00

Vegas and everywhere else has all NJ unders listed at 5 so I decided to pop my cherry on back to back Devils unders .Yes I know that the payout sucks compared to online but I think in this situation the half point value on the total and the song you get when you cash in a ticket is a good trade off

Also the over under tickets only have 20.00 max so I had to buy five tickets

Jan 29

CLE to win by 5 1.55
LAL to win by 5 1.50
20.00 to win 26.60
won 26.60

FLo5.5
TORu5.5
BOS u5.5

10.00 to win 30.00
loss 10.00

Still sketched out on the lottery so I decided to lower my wagers for this experiment. But thats ok. Decided to make the following bet . Sportsaction requires that basketball teams only win by 5 if you bet them on oddset. So with Vegas having the Cavs line -6 and the lakers at -6.5 I figured why not parlay them on the local lottery

As for my triple total bet in the NHL. I just took value on the line, but actually lost badly on all those picks (well I went 2-1). When playing the local lottery I need to discipline myself and keep bets to two games if I am to turn profit in the long run. But if I am to play three games i need to keep the wager size down to limit losses

Jan 30

Michigan 1.10
Shakrs 1.45
50.00 to win 29.75
won 29.75

Michigan 1.10
Flames 1.55
50.00 to win 35..25
won 35.25

On this day I looked for a solid double digit CBB team and played them on oddset with two pricey hockey picks I liked. Yes very conservative but this ain’t the lottery (well it kind of is but not really). Anyways both hit. yay!.

Jan 31

Tor 1.30
OKC 1.30
50.00 to win 34.50
won 34.50

LAK/NJ u5.5
TOR/IND o216.5
20.00 to win 20.00
won 20.00

Decided once again to look for discrepancies on totals and played oddset in bball with teams favored by more than 5 points and paid off.

Devils under should be 5 and 5 goals were scored, meaning I would’ve pushed had I made this bet online and the raptors over closed at 218, so I liked the value

Anyways decent first week going 6-1 on sports action tickets. I know the payouts suck compared to online but those lines are fucked and heck I rather take money away from the provincial government rather than a bookie.

I like bookies better.

So as I was debating yesterday to chase Cgy for the fourth game and with the odds that were given it was pretty hard to make a decision, but as i was working it just so happened that i was at Dustin Boyd’s place that he is getting built in Winnipeg now whether that had anything to do with me going threw on my bet and quadroupling up i’ll never know but if i could meet him i would personally thank him as he scored 2 goals and a helper to help me win the toughest chase so far.  Now is that good karma working at his house? I’d like to think so, so Dustin Boyd expect your heating and air conditioning to be the best there is.

Now a good day yesterday going 3-1 hitting Van on the first game of this 14 game chase was big as they were down 3-0 after one and winning 5-3.  Phx hung on to a 3-0 lead winning 3-2 (Tor take not on how to hold onto a lead lol) and of course laying down the juice and having Cgy finally breaking that slump and punishing Edm 6-1, now the one game i thought was a lock was Chi but Cam ward played spectacular stopping 40+ shots.  Ah well can’t win them all so i’ll get it next game.

So going to do some research on some teams and start up some new chases as my record is now 17-0.  Only got one chase for the day but could have more.  Wsh Fla over 6 -125.

Well it’s hockey night in canada again! I love this day, so still debating to chase Cgy for the win today at -220, as this is the 4th game in the chase only problem is i have to lay down a bit more than double of what i want to win.  Crazy yes but worth it? They are playing Edm the worst team in the league, Dubnyk is starting for Edm and he is 0-5, 3.92 GAA, .869 save %Cgy also leads the season series 5-0.  So if there is any time for Cgy to win today would be the day and if kipper is in net it will be harder not to lay down the juice.  But thats for a game time decision.

Some new chases: I’ve decided to basically chase Chi for the rest of the season with 26 gamess left, i see it being very profitable as they have not lost more than 2 games in a row all season, you may not get the best odds all the time but it’s guranteed money and it will only help your bankroll.  I mean who dosn’t like to win regardless? Chi has just proven to be profitable all year with there strong play and ability to rebound after a loss.

I’ve also added Wsh over in the next 4 games, pushed the first game, lost the second.  2 games left Tb, @Bos.  Should be interesting to see how these next 2 play out and if necessary i dont mind extending this chase as we all know Wsh is the highest scoring team in the nhl.

Now this is going to be a good chase here as i’ve decided to go with Van on there 14 game trip @Tor, @Mtl, @Ott, @Bos, @Tb, @Fla, @Cbj, @Min, @Cbj, @Det, @Chi, @Nsh, @Col, @Phx.  Now the only game i wont chase is the Van Chi game as stated above.  With some of these games facing teams lower than .500 and some just over with Van’s strong play i dont see it being difficult to win 4 of these 14 games (excluding the Chi game).

My plays for tonight:  Chi -170 over car.        Van -180 over tor.          Phx -140 over nyr.               Still don’t know about the Cgy Edm game but if i do Cgy -220 over edm.

Let’s win some money!
